3x+4=40 How to solve it - Simple trick make variable alone so--- Step1: we move 4 to the other side of equals to equation will be 3x= 40 - 4, 3x=36 (4 is positive by changing position it will be negative ) Step2: now we move 3 to the other side of equals to and the variable will be alone. equation will be x= 36/3 , x= 12 ( 3 is in multiply by changing position it will be divided )
