PQRS represents the rectangle lawn, and ABCD represents the outer edge of the lawn.
Since PQ = 30 m, and since the path is 2 m wide.
AB = (30+2+2) m = 34 m
And AD = (16+2+2) m = 20 m
therefore, Area of ABCD = (34×20) m2
and Area of PQRS = (30×16) m2 = 480 m2
therefore area of the path = area ABCD - area PQRS
= (680 - 480) m2
= 200 m2

Let one number be x.
Then, the other number will be x+2.
The third number = x+2+2 = x +4
It is given that their sum is 21.
So,
x + (x+2) + (x+4) = 21
= 3x + 6 = 21
= 3x = 15
x = 5
and x+2 = 7
x+4 = 9
Hence, the three consecutive odd numbers whose sum is 21 are 5, 7 and 9.
