Area of a circle is the region occupied by the circle in a two-dimensional plane. It can be determined easily using a formula, A = πr2, where r is the radius of the circle.

This area formula is useful for measuring the space occupied by a circular field or a plot.

0 is a number used in maths numerical system. 0 is a whole number. 0 is greater than every negative integer and greater than every positive integer. 0 is neither prime nor composite. 0 is very important in the numerical system because if 0 is not there the counting never go up from 9.

.. ... 6 years ago

0 is both a number and the numerical digit used to represent that number in numerals. It fulfills a central role in mathematics as the additive identity of the integers, real numbers, and many other algebraic structures. As a digit, 0 is used as a placeholder in place value systems

Given: The side of the square park = 60 m The length of the rectangular park = 90 m According to the question, Area of square park = Area of rectangular park ⇒ side x side = length x breadth ⇒ 60 x 60 = 90 x breadth ⇒ breadth = 60×6090 = 40 m Thus, the breadth of the rectangular park is 40 m

Length (l) of garden = 90 m

Breadth (b) of garden = 75 m

Area of garden = l × b = 90 × 75 = 6750 m2

From the figure, it can be observed that the new length and breadth of the garden, when path is also included, are 100m and 85m respectively.

Area of the garden including the path = 100 × 85 = 8500 m2

Area of path = Area of the garden including the path − Area of garden

= 8500 − 6750 = 1750 m2

1 hectare = 10000 m2

Therefore, area of garden in hectare

=6750/10000

=0.675

Define x:

Let the cost price of 1 pencil = x

Find the selling price of 1 pencil:

Selling Price of 10 pencils = Cost of 12 pencils

Selling Price of 10 pencils = 12x

Selling Price of 1 pencil = 12x ÷ 10 = 1.2x

Find the gain:

Gain = 1.2x - x = 0.2x

Find the gain percentage:

Gain percentage = gain/cost price x 100

Gain percentage = (0.2x/x) x 100 = 20%

Answer: The profit is 20%
