Let the required number be 'x'.

Now, the number is subtracted from -6 to obtain -14.

i.e. - 6 - x = -14

Taking like terms together,
x =14 - 6

x= 8

Therefore, 8 is the required number which is subtracted from -6 to obtain -14.

When the sum if the measure of two angles is 180°,such are called supplementary angles and each of them is called a supplementary of the other

Preetika Dwivedi 5 years, 4 months ago

Hello

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

When the sum of the measures of two angles is 180°, such angles are called supplementary angles and each of them is called a supplement of the other.

Supplementary angle of 50° = 180 - 50 = 130°

Supplementary angle of 130° = 180 - 130 = 50°

45 deg

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 4 months ago

Complementary angles add up to 90 degrees, while supplementary angles add up to 180 degrees. Thus the angle which is equal to its complement is 45 deg.

The angle that equals its supplement is 90 deg.

It is given that the the numerator is 4 less than its denominator. This means the the denominator is greater than the the numerator by 4. So, let the numerator be 'x'...... therefore denominator=x+4....... So, x\x+4=1\2... By cross multiplication, 2*x=1*(x+4)........ 2x=x+4..... So, 2x-x=4...... So, x=4............. So, the fraction is 4\8....(As it was given, denominator exceeds the numerator by 4)

Integer is the collection of negative , positive & whole numbers.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 4 months ago

An integer (from the Latin integer meaning "whole") is a number that can be written without a fractional component. For example, 21, 4, 0, and −2048 are integers, while 9.75, 512, and √2 are not.

integer is a whole number (<wbr />not a fractional number) that can be positive, negative, or zero.

Let the larger no. be x and the smaller one be x-7
Then,
6(x-7) +x = 77 ...(given)
⇒6x - 42 +x = 77
⇒7x- 42 = 77

i.e x= 17

Now putting the value of x in given equation, we get
= x-7
= 17-7
= 10

(a)1 1/3 + 17 /2 - 3/2

= 4/3 + 17/2 - 3/2

= (8+51-9)/2

= 50/2

= 25

(b) 11/3-(2/7+3/2)

= 11/3 - (4+21)/2

= 11/3 - 25/2

= (22 - 75)/6

= -53/6
