According to Soapy, going to jail is a more dignified way to get free room and board for the winter. So, Soapy's real goal isn't jail so much as a way to get food and shelter in the least humiliating way with the least sacrifice of his privacy.
Soapy is a man who neither has a job nor has a home. He is restless because he need to go to prison for three months to get survived in the winter season.
Explanation:
It is a short story written by O.Henry. This story narrates about a man named ‘Soapy’, who is homeless and jobless as well. To survive the winter season, he wished to go to prison for three months.
He made several attempts in getting cop's attention by doing some notorious activities.
But, those attempts got failed. Later, on hearing a church’s anthem, he got new energy to face this world. Unfortunately, a cop arrested him and put him in prison.

"In time" means various things but here it would mean with time to do something. So, something like: "My appointment was a 8, but I arrived at 7:55, in time to wash my face before the meeting".
"On time" means that you arrived when you were supposed to: "My meeting was a 8, but I wasn't exactly on time, I was 5 minutes early".

Aims and objectives of education in India are given below:
(a) As per the National Policy on Education (1968), the aim of education is “to promote national progress, a sense of common citizenship and culture and to strengthen national integration”.
It laid stress on “the need for a radical reconstruction of the educational system to improve its quality at all stages, and give much greater attention to science and technology, the cultivation of moral values and a closer relationship between education and the life of the people.”
(b) The National Policy on Education (1986) reinforced these aims to state that education should further the goals of socialism, secularism and democracy enshrined in the Constitution of India.
(c) Education should strive to promote values such as India’s common cultural heritage, egalitarianism, democracy and secularism, equality of the sexes, protection of the environment, removal of social barriers, observance of small family norms and inculcation of scientific temper.
(d) Education should foster among students on understanding of the diverse cultural and social characteristics of the people living in different parts of the country.
(e) Minimum levels of learning for each stage of education should be provided to ensure the quality of education.
(f) To promote equity, educational opportunity should >e provided in terms of access to education as well as the conditions necessary for success.
(g) Universalization of primary education, total literacy, adult education and provision of wider opportunities for continuing education are also some of the aims of education.
(h) To provide opportunities to those sections of the society which cannot avail of formal education, an access to education through open and distance learning.
(i) To establish network between different institutions in the country so as to facilitate research and development, education in science and technology and participation in all activities of national importance.

The hermit was a person who lives alone in a forest and lived a simple life. When the king did not get the answer to his three questions ,he decided to went to the hermit . He thinked the hermit is an intelligent person . He would absolutely had the answer of his three questions. But first the hermit did not answer the questions and ignored the king. But as the king helped the wounded man then the hermit answered him that you had already got the answer from the situation of wounded man.

The King- The king is conscientious but ambitious.He just want to know the answers of those three question.When he was not able to find those answer he again continue his search .The question became very much important for him.His compassionate nature, forgiving attitude clearly proves that he wanted success not for any selfish,this also prove that he was not at all selfish. He choose the wise hermit which showed his foresightedness and intelligence. The inherent nature of the king to do well and be good. The hermit was a wise man, who stays in a nearby village. The hermit would only see common people, however, so the king put on common dress, left his guards behind, and went to see the hermit.
