Prem did not want to return to his village because what he had seen in his village made him burn with shame. He was ashamed of his village people who wanted to kill each other for a cause about which they were not sure of. They burnt each others house.

Hari Singh did not stopped at the ticket office, as he never bought the ticket before. He was confused and could not decide whether he should run away or stay back. The train left in front of his eyes, but he stayed back at the platform.
