When we fix people in on image ,we create stereotype. For example, when people say that "boys are brave they dont cry" and " girls are soft ,gentle and well behaved

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

When we believe that people belonging to particular groups based on religion, wealth, language etc. are bound to have certain fixed characteristics or can only do a certain type of work, we create a stereotype. For example, we see how boys and girls are made to take certain subjects not because of their aptitude but only because they are either boys or girls. Stereotypes prevent us from looking at people as unique individuals.

One revolution of the moon around the Earth takes about 27 days . Incedently the moon's rotation around its own accord s also takes the same time . One day of the moon is equal to twenty seven Earth's days . So only one side of moon can we see from the earth.

Pragya Dey Roy 5 years, 4 months ago

We always see one side of the moon because- 1.The moon moves round the earth in about 27 days. 2.It takes exactly the same time to complete one round. So, we can see only one side of the moon.

Mbuti and Baka Pygmies live in the rainforests of Central Africa. Traditionally they live by hunting and gathering food. The Huli are one of the many tribes that live in the remote highland forests of Papua New Guniea. The specific foods that rainforest tribes eat varies by location; however fruits, vegetables and meat or fish are some of the main types. Fruits are especially plentiful in the rainforest, including berries, citrus and a number of other kinds. Fishing is a top source of food for many people who live in the rainforest.

People of india leads different religions but belongs to the same country India

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago

Diversity: Difference among people on the basis of religion, language, eating habits, etc. is called diversity.

A person may follow a particular religion, while another person may follow another religion. Different people speak different languages. Even if they speak the same language, different people among them may be speaking the same language in different accents.

People show diversity in their eating habits as well. Some people eat non-vegetarian food, while some others eat vegetarian food. For example; majority of the people from Gujarat are vegetarians. On the other hand, majority of people from West Bengal are non-vegetarians.

There are three components of map, viz. distance, direction and symbol.

Distance: Maps are two-dimensional drawings. It reduces the entire world or a part of the world on a small sheet of paper. While making a map, cartographers pay attention to properly represent the distance between two places. This helps us in finding the actual distance between two places.

Direction: A map also contains information about directions. On most of the maps, you will usually see an upward arrow and the letter ‘N’. This shows the north direction. Once we know the north, we can easily find the other directions. North, South, East and West are the four major directions. These are called Cardinal Directions. Some maps also show the intermediate directions, viz. north-east, south-east, south-west and north-west.

Symbols: Cartographers also need to show various details; like important structures, landmarks, etc. on a map. These things are shown by some standard symbols on the map. You can understand that it is not possible to draw pictures of hospital or temple or railway line or a monument on a map because of the lack of space. Hence some conventional symbols have been made on the basis of an international agreement.
