The atmosphere is a protective layer of gasses that shelters all life on Earth, keeping temperatures within a relatively small range and blocking out harmful rays of sunlight.
The atmosphere has five different layers that are determined by the changes in temperature that happen with increasing altitude.
Troposphere: Living at the surface of the Earth, we are usually only aware of the events happening in the lowest layer, the troposphere, where all weather occurs. The base of this layer is warmer than its top because the air is heated by the surface of the Earth, which absorbs the Sun’s energy.
Stratosphere: Above the troposphere lies the stratosphere where jet airplanes fly. Temperatures increase with altitude because of increasing amounts of ozone. The ozone layer within the stratosphere absorbs harmful ultraviolet rays of sunlight.
Mesosphere: As the mesosphere extends upward above the stratosphere, temperatures decrease. The coldest parts of our atmosphere are located in this layer and can reach –90°C.
Thermosphere: In the fourth layer from Earth’s surface, the thermosphere, the air is thin, meaning that there are far fewer air molecules. The thermosphere is very sensitive to solar activity and can heat up to 1,500°C or higher when the Sun is active making an aurora that lights up the night sky. Astronauts orbiting Earth in the space station or space shuttle spend their time in this layer.
Exosphere: The upper layer of our atmosphere, where atoms and molecules escape into space is called the exosphere.

There should be a conscious effort to abandon untouchability because it denies those affected, the basic human rights. The so-called untouchables are not allowed to enter certain premises, mingle with higher caste people, not allowed to educate their children where children of other castes study, and are forced to do extremely menial jobs because they are even denied the right to chooses their profession.
All such factors deny the untouchables their basic human rights and dignity simply because they have been born in a certain caste. This is the extreme form of human inequality.

- The importance of the role of women in society cannot be overlooked. Especially important is their role as the traditional primary caregivers for children. When women are given the opportunity to have a voice in charting their own destinies, they can improve their lives and the lives of their children who are the future of a country.
- Educating a girl child removes some of the heavy burdens from poor families around the world as such a child is seen as a breadwinner in most Third World countries.
- Gender equality and the advancement of women has the potential to bring developments in all spheres of life as like an economy, health, care etc.
- Girls become aware of family planning which is essential for proper care of the existing children.
- Education also lowers infant mortality as numerous children die needlessly because their mothers were denied an education earlier in life

1. A map is a visual representation of an area—a symbolic depiction highlighting relationships between elements of that space such as objects, regions, and themes.
Plans are a set of two-dimensional diagrams or drawings used to describe a place or an object, or to communicate building or fabrication instructions. Usually, plans are drawn or printed on paper, but they can take the form of a digital file.
2. Although most commonly used to depict geography, maps may represent any space, real or imagined, without regard to context or scale; e.g. Brain mapping, DNA mapping, and extraterrestrial mapping.
Plans are often for technical purposes such as architecture, engineering, or planning. Their purpose in these disciplines is to accurately and unambiguously capture all the geometric features of a site, building, product or component. Plans can also be for presentation or orientation purposes, and as such are often less detailed versions of the former. The end goal of plans is either to portray an existing place or object, or to convey enough information to allow a builder or manufacturer to realize a design.
3. Many but not all maps are drawn to a scale, allowing the reader to infer the actual sizes of, and distances between, depicted objects. A larger scale shows more detail, thus requiring a larger map to show the same area.
Plans are usually to scale drawings, meaning that the plans are drawn at a specific ratio relative to the actual size of the place or object.

The first Veda was composed around 3500 years ago. There are four Vedas, viz. Rigveda, Samaveda, Yarjurveda and Athravaveda. Out of them, the Rigveda was the first Veda to be composed. Rigveda contains more than 1000 hymns and each hymn is called ‘sukta’. The term ‘sukta’ means well said. These hymns are in praise of gods. Three main gods have been mentioned in the Rigveda. Agni is the god of fire, Indra is the god of rains and Soma was named after a plant. This plant was used for making a special drink.
