2 The truth seeker must follow the rules of ahimsa. The rule of ahimsa means not hurting or killing any living being. Life is dear to all living beings.

Sudha works as a marketing manager in a company which manufactures biscuits. She gets a regular salary and is a permanent worker with the company. She can expect her job to continue for a long time. Being a permanent worker, she also gets other benefits such as the following:
Savings for old age: A part of her salary is kept in a fund with the government. She will earn interests on these savings. When she retires from this job, she will get this money and she can live on that.
Holidays: She gets off on Sundays and national holidays. She also gets some days as annual leave.
Medical facilities for her family: Her company pays the medical expenses up to a certain amount for her and her family members. She gets medical leave if she falls ill and her salary is not cut if she takes this leave.

- Monks and nuns in the Middle Ages lived in a world apart from the lords and ladies, knights, serfs, and all of the other medieval people. Their lifestyle kept them separate from the rest of the world.
- The place where they lived was arranged so that the monks or nuns didn't need to go outside of their own walls. Their communities were self-sufficient. They raised their own food and built their own buildings. The buildings where the monks lived were called monasteries. The nuns' buildings were called nunneries. Either one could also be called an abbey.

Slaves: Slaves were being ill treated because at the time slavery was popular Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King fought against this injustice. But why did they fought?Everything was alright so why did they fought?
- They were treated bad because of their skin tone,we cannot judge any one by his/her skin tone.

Slaves and servants were ill-treated because their masters felt superior to them. The masters treated them as animals. It was because of the old Varna' system. The emperor's orders might have helped to some extent.
