The word Filament itself refers to the wire or thread inside the bulb which lights up when you turn it on.
Extra explanation:
When electric current goes through the filament, the filament glows. It may also be known as the electron emitting element in a vacuum tube. To make the bulb produce more light, the filament is usually made of coils of thin wire, also known as the coiled coil in order to get more emmision.
Generally, Filaments in incandescent light bulbs are made of tungsten as its melting point is very high.

2. burning of paper is irreversible process.
Irreversible changes are permanent changes. Reactants react to form an entirely new compound and cannot be reversed. Heating, burning, mixing, powdering are few processes which cause irreversible changes.

1. In a reversible change we get back the original substance by changing the conditions.
Explanation:
Any changes which can be reversed or are a temporary conversion are known as reversible changes. The reactions which are reversible are called reversible reactions

Any changes which can be reversed or are a temporary conversion are known as reversible changes. The reactions which are reversible are called reversible reactions. In this reaction, one substance is modified into another form but a new compound is not formed. Processes such as melting, boiling, evaporation, freezing, condensation, dissolution are reversible changes. Few examples are melting of wax, freezing of ice, boiling water which evaporates as steam and condenses back to water.

A pinhole camera is a simple camera, without lens, in the shape of a box. One of the sides has a small hole and it produces an inverted image of the outside world at other side.
- The box should be painted black from outside and inside for better clarity.
- The object whose image is to be seen should be in bright light.
- Smaller the hole, sharper the image.
- Temporary Black and White images are formed on the screen if a tracing paper is used. Permanent colored and b & w images can be obtained using photographic films instead of tracing paper.
- In the below diagram, two boxes are placed one inside the other. The image of the outer object is created inverted on the inner box translucent screen.

Physical Change | Chemical Change |
When a substance undergoes a physical change, its composition remains the same despite its molecules being rearranged. | When a substance undergoes a chemical change, its molecular composition is changed entirely. Thus, chemical changes involve the formation of new substances. |
Physical change is a temporary change. | A chemical change is a permanent change. |
A Physical change affects only physical properties i.e. shape, size, etc. | Chemical change both physical and chemical properties of the substance including its composition |
A physical change involves very little to no absorption of energy. | During a chemical reaction, absorption and evolution of energy take place. |
Some examples of physical change are freezing of water, melting of wax, boiling of water, etc. | A few examples of chemical change are digestion of food, burning of coal, rusting, etc. |
Generally, physical changes do not involve the production of energy. | Chemical changes usually involve the production of energy (which can be in the form of heat, light, sound, etc.) |

A compass is usually a small box with a glass cover on it. A magnetised needle is pivoted inside the box, which can rotate freely.
The compass also has a dial with directions marked on it.
The compass is kept at the place where we wish to know the directions. Its needle indicates the north-south direction when it comes to rest.
The compass is then rotated until the north and south marked on the dial are at the two ends of the needle.
To identify the north-pole of the magnetic needle, it is usually painted in a different colour.
Red colour arrow usually points to North Pole. If we know the North direction we can find all other 3 directions of that place.
