Out of the twelve pairs of ribs in the human body, the last two pairs are called floating ribs. Ribs are attached to the vertebral column dorsally and to the sternum ventrally forming a cage like structure. In the beginning of civilisation, people used bark, leaves and animal fur as clothes. When people settled down as farmers, they used woven vines and animal fleece as clothes. In the next stage, flax and cotton were woven into clothes. In those times, people just draped the fabric to cover themselves. People started wearing stitched clothes only after the needle was invented. Even today, in older cultures like India, you see people wearing unstitched garments like turbans, saris and dhotis.

A balanced diet contains sufficient amounts of all essential nutrients and water and roughage required by our body for its proper functioning. We should include a number of different food items in our meal in order to have a balanced diet. A balanced diet depends on the age of the person and his/her occupation. Example - a growing child needs more proteins and minerals like calcium and phosphorous in his diet than a grown up man. A man doing hard physical work needs more carbohydrates in his diet than a man doing normal work.
