Equivalent fractions are the fractions that have different numerator and denominator but are equal to the same value
Equivalent fractions state that two or more than two fractions are said to be equal if both results are the same fraction after simplification. Let us say, a/b and c/d are two fractions, after the simplification of these fractions, both result in equivalent fraction, say e/f, then they are equal to each other.
step 1 : multiply or divide the numerator and denominator with the same natural number .
step 2 : the required equivalent fraction is obtained .
step 3 : to obtain many equivalent fractions multiply / divide the numerator & denominator with many no.
1/5 = 1 x 2 / 5 x 2 => 2 / 10 ( multiplying the numerator and denominator by two )
1/5 = 1 x 3 / 5 x 3 => 3 / 15 ( multiplying the numerator and denominator by three )
1/5 = 1 x 4 / 5 x 4 => 4 / 20 ( multiplying the numerator and denominator by four )
1/5 = 1 x 5 / 5 x 5 => 5 / 25 ( multiplying the numerator and denominator by five )
1/5 = 1 x 6 / 5 x 6 => 6 / 30 ( multiplying the numerator and denominator by six )
Therefore , 2 / 15 , 3 / 15 , 4 / 20 , 5 / 25 , 6 / 30 are five equivalent fractions of 1 / 5 .

Let AB be the line segment of lengths 6cm and point C lying between A and B.

On measuring the lengths of the line segment.
AB, AC, and CB using a ruler, we find that AB=6cm, AC=4cm CB=2cm
now, AC+CB=4+2CM=6CM=AB
AC+CB=AB
so, we can say that C lies between A and B.

Concave
If a polygon has at least one internal angle greater than 180 degrees, then it is concave. An easy way to tell if a polygon is concave is if one side can be extended and crosses the interior of the polygon. Concave polygons can be divided into several convex polygons by drawing diagonals.

A polygon with each angles less than 180 degree is called a convex polygon
A convex polygon has interior angles less than 180 degrees, thus all triangles are convex. If a polygon has at least one internal angle greater than 180 degrees, then it is concave.

Parallel lines will always have equal distance between them
Parallel lines are those lines which never meet each other. When the distance between a pair of lines is the same throughout, it can be called parallel lines. It is denoted by “||”. The main criteria for any two lines to be parallel are that they have to be drawn on the same plane. They are always equidistant from each other.

In Algebra, decimals are one of the types of numbers, which has a whole number and the fractional part separated by a decimal point. The dot present between the whole number and fractions part is called the decimal point. For example, 34.5 is a decimal number.
Here, 34 is a whole number part and 5 is the fractional part.
“.” is the decimal point.

Match the items in column 1 with the items in column 2.
Column 1 Column 2
(i) 35 (a) Multiple of 8
(ii) 15 (b) Multiple of 7
(iii) 16 (c) Multiple of 70
(iv) 20 (d) Factor of 30
(v) 25 (e) Factor of 50
(f) Factor of 20
Solutions:
(i) 35 is a multiple of 7
Hence, option (b)
(ii) 15 is a factor of 30
Hence, option (d)
(iii) 16 is a multiple of 8
Hence, option (a)
(iv) 20 is a factor of 20
Hence, option (f)
(v) 25 is a factor of 50
Hence, option (e)

Answer:
10 cm
Step-by-step explanation:
We are given that Two sides of a triangle is 12cm and 14 cm.
Let the third side be x
Perimeter of triangle = Sum of all sides
Since we are given that The perimeter of a triangle is 36cm.
So,
Hence the length of the third side is 10 cm
or
Let the length of third side be x cm.
Length of other two side are 12 cm and 14 cm.
Now, Perimeter of triangle = 36 cm
⇒ 12 + 14 + x = 36
⇒ 26 + x = 36
⇒ x = 36 - 26
⇒ x = 10 cm
Thus, the length of third side is 10 cm.
