The Munda are found in the northern areas of east India concentrated in the states of Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha and West Bengal. The Munda also reside in adjacent areas of Chhattisgarh as well as in portions of Bangladesh. They are one of India's largest scheduled tribes.

The smallest bird in the world is the bee hummingbird (Mellisuga helenae), found in Cuba and the Isle of Youth (an island off the Cuban coast)! The male bird of the species measures a mere 5.7 cm (2.24 in) in total length, half of which is made up of the bird's beak and tail.
