The small intestine is the part of the intestines where 90% of the digestion and absorption of food occurs, The main function of the small intestine is absorption of nutrients and minerals from food. The chemical digestion that uses enzymes, bile acids etc. in order to break down food material into a form that can then be absorbed, then assimilated into the tissues of the body. Chemical digestion occurs in the small intestine to a lesser extent, also in some other part of the gastrointestinal tract.

Most rivers get polluted from the following sources:-
1.Fertilizer runoff.
2.Industrial garbage are thrown into rivers.
3.Boats dropping their waste into river.
4.Recreation boats releasing toxins(gas and oil) and Foodstuff(wrappers, cans garbage).

A sponge has minute holes,in which air is trapped, when we press it,the air is expelled out and we are able to compress it.sponge is a porous solid.Sponge has properties of solis , in other words the property of compressibility means an object is compresed and it remains in that compressed shape until we apply force to get it back to its normal position.So it is a solid.
