Anglicised version of nawabs.The people who came to India for earnin money and lead a comfortable life, successful to go back to their native country or Britain were known as nabobs. They were often see as upstarts in Britain and often make fun of in plays. Everyone who came to India to earn money is not Successful as they may killed by disease ,in war or they are not able to survive in such a hot climate. They led fleshy lives .
