  • Ajatshatru is known for his efforts to lay down the foundation of a strong empire of Magadha.  
  • He conquered kingdoms of central, north, extending to west a few, a total of 36 empires.  
  • On the banks of Ganga, he constructed forts to strengthen the security of his kingdom Magadha.  
  • An engine for ejecting big stones and scythed chariot, which were considered as the most powerful invention of him laid the foundation of strong war weapons used by the Magadha.
