Food is a substance eaten by living beings to get energy. It is one of the basic necessities of life. Just as a car or bus runs on fuel while the living beings depend upon the the energy derived from food for survival. In other words, food is a substance that provides us energy to do work, grow, remain healthy and protect the body against various diseases and infections. We should not waste food and unutilised food should be distributed to poor and needy
