There are four types of languages - 1) Machine language - Machine language was used in earlier computer and contained digits 0 and 1 only . It is the only language that the computer understand . This group of language use Simple English language words that are coverted into Machine language with the help of a compiler or interpreter . Some high level languages are - BASIC , COBOL , PASCAL , FORTRAN , LOGO C , C++ , JAVA . 4) Fourth Generation language ( FGLs ) - They are highly user - friendly . They have very high speeds of execution . They minimize the efforts of user even as he obtains any set of information . We get the output of any program without bothering about the steps involved .
