    As electricity is a good conductor of water and If they not shutoff the electric supply , while watering the fire ,the fire will not off it will cause danger to other people and fireman . It may also lead death for the people

    They shut off the electrical supply while supplying water because water conducts electricity and if water came in contact with electricity then the firemen could catch fire and burn themselves.
