Gold is a metal which is lustrous ( shiny ) , malleable (that can be hit or pressed into shape easily without breaking or cracking) , ductile ( able to be drawn out into a thin wire - so that to make earrings, etc ) as it has all the required properties that's why gold is used to make jewelry
