Sustainable development is basically using the resources carefully to fulfill the needs of present and making sure that there are enough resources left also for the future generations . It is useful as if we will not practice the method of sustainable development , there might not be any resources left to fulfill the demands of future generations and they might suffer a lot and by lack of these resources , it might happen that the life on this planet will end for us that is humans . i hope this helps .

The goal of sustainable development is to meet the needs of today without compromising the needs of tomorrow. This means we cannot continue using current levels of resources as this will not leave enough for future generations. Stabilising and reducing carbon emissions is key to living within environmental limits.? (may this answer will help u..)? thanks
