Sum of two integers = 84
One of the integers = 44
Other integer = Sum of two integers − One of the integers
= 84 − 44
= 40
Hence, the other integer is 40.
or
Let the one number be x
Hence, Two numbers be x , 44
So,
x + 44 = 84
x = 84 - 44
⇒x = 40
