A painting tool is a tool or function in a graphics editing or painting program used to change the area of the canvas or image by adding paint strokes or filling the areas with color.
The following are examples of painting tools: Pencil, Paintbrush, Eraser, Fill Color, Pick Color and Magnifier are the painting tools.
- Pencil - It helps to draw lines using click and drag the computer mouse.
- Paintbrush - Use this to brush a thick line on your image with different brush shapes.
- Eraser - This helps to erase the area in an image by dragging the mouse pointer over the relevant area.
- Fill Tool - To apply color to the foreground and background of the selected image
- Pick Color - This allows the user to select an object whose color to copy and use the color in other parts of the image.
- Magnifier - This tool helps the user to zoom in an out of an image.
- Text - Use this to type text directly onto the picture.
