  • Answer is xy

  • Given x and y are co-primes then HCF of them is 1.

    Now we've,

HCF×LCM = product of the numbers

    or, HCF×LCM =xy

    or, LCM =xy. [ Since HCF=1]

  • The sum of two coprime numbers is always coprime with their product.

    For example:

5 and 9 are coprime numbers.
Here, 5+9=14 is coprime with 5×9=45

A set of numbers which do not have any other common factor other than 1 are called co-prime. The LCM of two co-prime numbers is equal to their product.

So, If x and y are two co-primes , then their LCM is xy
