Given x and y are co-primes then HCF of them is 1.
Now we've,
HCF×LCM = product of the numbers
or, HCF×LCM =xy
or, LCM =xy. [ Since HCF=1]
- The sum of two coprime numbers is always coprime with their product.
For example:
5 and 9 are coprime numbers.
Here, 5+9=14 is coprime with 5×9=45

A set of numbers which do not have any other common factor other than 1 are called co-prime. The LCM of two co-prime numbers is equal to their product.
So, If x and y are two co-primes , then their LCM is xy
