As, the area of the square field=36 m2
So, the side of the square field = √36 = 6 m
Also, the area of the outer square=Area of the square+Area of the path=36+28=64 m2
So, the side of the outer square= √64=8 m
Now, the width of the path=(Side of the outer square−Side of the inner square)/ 2
=(8−6)/2 = 2/2 = 1 m
So, the width of the path is 1 m.
