Solutions:
(a) 1 / 18 + 1 / 18
= (1 + 1) / 18
= 2 / 18
= 1 / 9
(b) 8 / 15 + 3 / 15
= (8 + 3) / 15
= 11 / 15
(c) 7 / 7 – 5 / 7
= (7 – 5) / 7
= 2 / 7
(d) 1 / 22 + 21 / 22
= (1 + 21) / 22
