Let the original price of the garment be Rs.x.
Cost of garment after reducing 15%=Rs.306
Now according to the question-
x−15% of x=306
⇒x−(15/100 × x)=306
⇒x−3x/ 20 =306
⇒(20x−3x)/20=306
⇒17x=6120
⇒x= 6120/17 =360
Hence the original price of the garment is Rs.360.
