The leaves contain chemicals such as chlorophyll that allows plants to create food so they can be high using air, water, and light from the sun. All leaves of the plants and trees contain chlorophyll but some of the leaves do not contain it. Some leaves contain white and green, yellow and green, and spots and stripes. Green leaves only contain chlorophyll and those leaves only can make foods.
