Threshing is the process 0f loosening the edible part of grain from the straw to which it is attached.It is the step in grain preparation after reaping . Threshing does the grain .Threshing may be done by beating the grain using a fail on a threshing floor.

Threshing is the process in which stems of wheat or paddy are beaten to separate grains from the stems and from the chaff that cover the grains.Being soft, stalks and chaff can be broken into pieces on beating but the grains remain unaffected.
