Stars are luminous where as planets don't have their own light,stars are made of gases and dust as planets are not. Stars appear twinkling in night. There billions of stars in the universe. Sun is the closest star to earth. There are stars much more bigger that sun. There are 8 planets in our solar system.

STARS :
★ They are having lustres .
★ They are uncountable .
★ They are made up of dust and gases.
★ They twinkle at night .
★ Example - The Sun is the nearest star to the earth .

PLANETS :
★ They are not lustrous.
★ There are 8 planets in our Solar System .
★ Some of them are made up of gases and some of rocks .
★ They do not twinkle at night.
★ These plantes are : Mercury, Venus , Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn , Uranus and Neptune
