It not suggested to cook food in wood because as you are cook on stove there are chances that it may burn.
Cooking utensils are made up of copper and aluminium because they are good conductors of heat and hence food can be easily cooked in them. Their handles are made up of plastic because plastic is poor conductor of heat due to which the handles do not get heated and we are sble to hold the utensil with their help.
