Crops sown in the rainy season are called Kharif crops or monsoon crops.  They are sown after the onset of the monsoon. Fertile alluvial soil with a clay layer on top is best suited to grow Kharif crops. West Bengal and Kerala are leading producers of Kharif crops.   Examples : Rice, maize, soyabean, groundnut and cotton are Kharif Crops. Check the options in the question given and choose the one which is not in the examples
