The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth at 430.5 meters below sea level.
It's called so because its high salinity prevents macroscopic aquatic organisms.
Its salt concentration is a staggering 33.7%, 8.6 times saltier than ocean water, which is only about 3.5% salt.
Because of its high salt content person cannot sink into it.
