Metals are generally malleable they can be beaten into thin sheet with hammer without breaking this property of metal is called Malleability gold and silver are the most malleable metals they can be hammered into very thin sheets silver foils are used for decorating sweets aluminium foils are used for wrapping of medicines chocolates and several food items.

The property of metals by which they can be beaten into thin sheets is called malleability. For example aluminium is beaten into sheets.  varies according to temperature. It metals like gold, silver, copper iron, etc exhibit this property. Not all metals undergo this property of malleability.
