If the product of two whole numbers is zero, can we say that one or both of them will be zero? Justify through examples.

Solution.

Yes, if the product of two whole numbers is zero, then one or both of them will definitely be zero.

Examples:

(i) 8 x 0 = 0 and  0 x 14 = 0

One number is zero here.

(ii) 0 x 0 = 0

Both the numbers are zero here.
