The H.C.F of two consecutive natural numbers always will be '1'.
Solution:
H.C.F of two consecutive numbers:
Let us assume that the two consecutive numbers are 8 and 9.
We know that the Factors of 8 and 9 are
8= 1, 2, 4 and 8.......... (1)
9=1, 3 and 9.............. (2)
Therefore,
From (1) and (2),
We can say that the H.C.F of two consecutive numbers 8 and 9 and their common factor is always 1.
The H.C.F of two consecutive natural numbers always will be '1'.
