Our species is distinguished by being absurdly diverse and flexible in what we eat. Antelope and gazelle? Yes, we’ll hunt those. Rodents like rabbits and gophers? Yep. Wild birds of every description? All over it. Snakes and lizards. Mm hm. Seals and walrus? If they’re available, absolutely. Megafauna like elephants and mammoth? Eating those, yes. All of them and more. We tend not to hunt carnivores quite as avidly, since they’re relatively dangerous and don’t taste as good, but historically we’ve hunted and eaten basically anything made out of meat.
