Let one number be X & other be Y
then as per condition given
X * Y = 72 & X + Y = 27
Replacing the value of X from above condition we have
72/Y + Y = 27
or 72 + y * Y =27 Y
Y* Y -27 Y + 72 = 0
Y * Y -24 Y -3 Y + 72 =0
Y(Y - 24 ) - 3( Y-24 ) =0
( Y-24 ) ( Y-3 ) =0
therefore Y = 24 or Y = 3
Replacing these values in X * Y = 72 we have
X = 3 or 24
Therfore one number is 24 & other number is 3
Now if we add 24 + 3 = 27
if we multiply 24 * 3 + 72
Therfore one number is 24 & other number is 3.
