Area enclosed by the square = 2^2 = 4cm^2
Area enclosed by the rectangle = 2*3 ={tex} 6cm^2{/tex}
Area enclosed by the equilateral triangle = {tex}√3/4 a^2{/tex} where a is the length of the side
=> area = √3/4 x 4 x 4
= 4√3
= approximately 6.93 {tex}cm^2{/tex}
Since 6.93 > 6 > 4 ,
Hence, the equilateral triangle encloses the most area
