The process of converting plant and animal waste materials into manure by rotting is called composting. All the biodegradable domestic wastes are converted into manure and are used as manure because it contains nutrients required for the growth of plants. Farmers often burn agricultural wastes such as a dry leaves, produces smoke and harmful gases which can damage our health. Such wastes should never be burnt but can be converted into useful compost.
