Adams apple means when we reach the age its begin to increase its size and this is called in common language as voice box

At puberty, the voice box or the larynx begins to grow. Boys develop large voice boxes. The growing voice box in boys can be seen as a proturding part of the throat called adam's apple

During adolescence in males, the thyroid cartilage of the larynx protrudes forward forming a bulged structure in the throat region. This structure is called as Adam’s apple. This is one of the most remarkable secondary sexual characteristic feature in men. The larger larynx in males is the reason for deeper voice in men than in women.
