Coral are skeleton of tiny Marine animals called polyps when the living polyps die The Skeleton are left other polyps grown on the top of head skeleton which grows higher and higher the forming the Coral island

Coral islands are tropical islands which are formed from various organic materials derived from skeletons of corals and numerous other animals and plants associated with corals. These are situated only few meters above the sea level and may extend upto dozens of kilometers. Example: Lakshadweep Islands.
