Find the number of square tiles of size 15cm required for covering the floor of a room 9m long and 6m wide.Find also the cost of the tiles required if one tile costs Rs. 4.50.

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of floor = length ×width

Area of floor = 9 ×6 = 54 m^2

Area of a tile = 15 cm ×15cm

= (15/100) m ×(15/100) m

= 225/10000 m^2

Number of tile required to cover floor = floor area / tile area

Number of tile required to cover floor = 54 / (225/10000)

= 540000/225

= 2400 tiles

Cost of one tile = Rs 4.5

cost of 2400 Tiles = 2400 ×4.5 = Rs 10800
