How was Indian education system different from English education system?

In Indian education system there were no buildings or classes where the teachers would teach. There were only one or two teachers in a school who teach under a Banyan tree. There was only oral teaching. There were no books,no written work,no exams,no time table,no attendance and no regular fees. Children could give money if possible,if there financial conditions are good. In English educational system there were many teachers,well organised schools,Good facilities.There were books,exams,proper time table,exams, regular attendance and regular fees etc.
