The Purvanchal range includes the hill ranges of the Patkai, Barail Range, Naga Hills, Lushai Hills and Jampui Hills. The Purvanchal Mountains cover the states of Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram. The Garo, Khasi and Jaintia hills are not located in this range which is part of Deccan plateau. The Purvanchal Mountains, or Eastern Mountains, are a sub-mountain range of the Himalayas in northeast India. Purvanchal Range The Purvanchal hills lies in the northeasternmost part of India lying near Myanmar. They are the eastern extension of Himalayas. They cover the states of Assam, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland .
