Effects of Force:

  1. A force can move a stationary body. For example if we kick a football kept on the ground with our foot, then the football starts moving.
  2. A force can stop a moving body. For example the football moving on the ground stops after sometime due to force of friction of ground.
  3. A force can change the speed of a moving body. For example if someone pushes the moving bicycle from behind then the speed of the bicycle increases and it will move faster.
  4. A force can change the direction of a moving body. For example in a cricket match, when a cricket ball is hit by a bat, then the direction of the cricket ball changes and it goes in another direction.
  5. A force can change the shape and size of a moving body. For example if we take a light spring and pull it at both the ends with our hands, then the shape and size of the spring changes.
