Public prosecutors are lawyers appointed by the government as its representatives in criminal matters. In some countries, including France, Japan, and Germany, the prosecutors are part of a career civil service. They are appointed and dismissed by the ministry of justice and generally subject to its control. A public prosecutor is appointed to make prosecution, appeals or judicial proceedings in each High Court or High Court, the Central Government or the State Government, under the Provision of section 24 of CRPC 1972. A public prosecutor is appointed by the State Government in every district.
