Let the number of oranges emptied into each smaller box be 'x'.

According to the question, the number of oranges still left after transferring is 10

So the number of oranges in larger box= number of oranges in two smaller boxes+10.

=x+x+10

=2x+10.

Therefore, the number of oranges in larger box=2x+10
