    The British also felt that all important documents and letters needed to be carefully presserved. So they set up record rooms at5ached to all administrative institutions. The village tashildars office,the collectorate,the comissioners office,the provisional secretariats, the lawcourts-all had their eecord rooms. Specialized institiins like archives and museums.
