This is called coir....there are mainly 2 kinds of coir ie. White coir & brown coir....white coir is generally used to make fishing nets due to its resistance to salt water and brow coir are used to make floor mats , doormats, brushes, ropes and pots to grow plants. Brown coir are sprayed with rubber latex to bind the fibres together.
